Congratulations to John Solomon for his Lighthouse Award in Recognition of his Motivational Spirit! Solomon served on our school board from 2011-2022 and continues to share his passion for education and racial equity with our community.
Solomon’s passion about education begins with every student valuing their educational opportunity and realizing the impact they will have on the future of this country. He believes students have the ability to have a positive generational impact on the betterment of their families by embracing the academic opportunities in front of them.
The Lighthouse Award is an annual award from the School Board Directors of Color and Indigenous Fellowship given to one Black, Indigenous or person of Color, Public School Superintendent and one Public School Board Member that has demonstrated a commitment to racial equity in their district.
