Independence home prices rose in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Independence rose by $241,975 while total sales decreased by 36.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 14 homes sold, with a median sale price of $708,375 - a 51.9% increase over the $466,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 22 homes sold in Independence in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $5,374, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
