City Of Champlin issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.
In the coming weeks, you will begin to see work being done in the Mississippi Crossings area. Beginning with the 4.2 acres just north of T.H. 169 and south of East River Parkway, Greco will be developing a 214-unit market rate rental housing community. Site plan work, including grading and tree removal, will begin shortly. Part of the project includes tree replacement and new landscaping.
The Ground-Breaking Event is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1st. Everyone is invited to this event which will be held in the upper portion Mississippi Point Park. While we understand that change can be difficult, we are excited and hope that you are too! A second phase of development will include future riverfront amenities such as a restaurant, event center, public park pavilion, performance area and more.
More information will be available in the next edition of the Champlin Chronicle (coming to your mailbox next week) and on our website at: http://ci.champlin.mn.us/…/mississippi-crossings-redevelop
