City of Golden Valley issued the following announcement on July 31.
Registration for youth fall soccer programs is now open. Sign the kids up now before these popular programs fill up.
Mites Fall Soccer: This program offers a fun introductory soccer experience focusing on developing fundamentals, good sportsmanship, and team building. Teams will be assigned, and volunteer coaches will lead 30 minutes of skill development and 30 minutes of game play each day. Participants must provide shin guards and a Golden Valley soccer jersey (purchased through the City’s Parks and Recreation Department).
Youth Co-Rec Soccer: This fun and encouraging recreational soccer experience focuses on skill development, good sportsmanship, and enjoying the game of soccer. Teams will be assigned and volunteer coaches will lead practices and games. Participants must provide shin guards and a Golden Valley soccer jersey (purchased through the City’s Parks and Recreation Department). Practice day, time, and location will be determined by the volunteer coaches. Games are held on Saturdays at varying locations in Golden Valley, Crystal, and Robbinsdale with varying times between 9 am−3 pm.
