City Of Golden Valley issued the following announcement on April 30.
Hennepin County is looking for residents to participate in the Online Zero Waste Challenge and take an in-depth look at the goods they buy and the waste created in hopes of finding new opportunities to recycle and reduce waste.
The six-week challenge runs May 17–June 27 and has more than 100 actions to choose from in eight categories. Check off the actions you already take, then select up to five one-time actions and five daily actions to make progress throughout the challenge.
Once the challenge starts, participants will be able see the impacts of their actions and connect with others who are taking the same steps to reduce waste.
To learn more and to register for the challenge, visit the Zero Waste Challenge page on the Hennepin County website.
