CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY: Brookview Asks Patrons To Cease All Golfing During Closure

Golfitems

City Of Golden Valley issued the following announcement on April 2

Although Brookview Golf Course is closed in accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Orders 20-20 and 20-04, Brookview has seen a number of golfers out on the course over the last few weeks. This is in direct conflict with the Governor’s order closing all golf courses and with Brookview’s policies regarding the golfer safety.

Brookview Golf Course is a public course but still operates as a business. Golfing the course while closed is considered trespassing and could be unsafe, as golf rangers are not present to monitor pace of play.

Walking The Course

Residents and community members may continue to use the course for walking and exercise as they do in the off-season. It is strongly recommended to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations for safe use of outdoor spaces. This includes keeping at least six feet away from others walking on the course.

As the situation evolves, the COVID-19 page on the City website will have updated information about the status of closures, cancellations, and changes.
