Kristin Robbins, a Minnesota state legislator, shared several posts on her X (formerly Twitter) account in mid-September 2025, addressing both local budget concerns and political leadership.

On September 15, Robbins expressed support for an individual named Sophia by stating: "Such good news! Keep praying for Sophia!"

The following day, Robbins criticized Governor Tim Walz's handling of the state's finances. In her post dated September 16, she wrote: "To be clear, @Tim_Walz completely mismanaged the budget. When Democrats had full control they turned an $18 billion surplus into a $6 billion deficit! Republicans’ tie in the House & the constitutional requirement to balance the budget cut spending, but we still have a deficit". Robbins referenced a shift from a large budget surplus to a significant deficit during periods of Democratic Party control and emphasized ongoing fiscal challenges despite efforts to reduce spending.

Later that same day, Robbins commented on Governor Walz’s broader political standing with the statement: "The American people looked at Tim Walz and said no thanks. Now it’s time for Minnesota to do the same!" The message was accompanied by links to additional content.

Tim Walz is currently serving as governor of Minnesota after being first elected in 2018 and reelected in 2022. Budget management has been a recurring topic in state politics as lawmakers debate how best to address surpluses and deficits within Minnesota’s constitutionally mandated balanced budget framework.
