On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Wayzata High School standout Ella Freeman’s college team lost in an NCAA Division I softball game

On Saturday, Feb. 8, former Wayzata High School standout Ella Freeman’s current college team, the Miami RedHawks, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The game took place at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Golden Gophers this season.

The RedHawks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m. at Toyota Field against Auburn Tigers.
