Were students of Robbinsdale Public School District able to meet MCA and MTAS Reading testing expectations in 2021-22 school year?

Robbinsdale Public School District ranked fifth in the Hennepin County for test participation, with 4,968 students taking the Reading portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Robbinsdale Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 34.3% over the previous year.

Robbinsdale Public School District's students achieved an average Reading proficiency rate of 43% in 2021-22 school year.

10th-grade students stood out with 13% of them exceeding standards in Reading, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, third grade students had the most room for improvement, with 46% not meeting the expected standards.

Robbinsdale Public School District encompasses schools within Hennepin County and has a main office in New Hope.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
