MnDOT Update: Overnight lane closures on Highway 169 begin

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has shared information about upcoming overnight lane closures on Highway 169 related to the bridge replacement project at County Road 9.

Beginning Sunday, June 18, southbound Highway 169 between 49th and 36th avenues will be reduced to a single lane 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Sunday through Thursday.

Northbound Highway 169 between 36th and 49th avenues will also be reduced to a single lane 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sunday through Thursday.

Overnight lane closures are expected to continue through early July. Please note that timeframes are approximate, subject to change, and weather and schedule permitting. 

More About the Project 

MnDOT is replacing the bridge and reconstructing the interchange at Highway 169 and County Road 9 (Rockford Road/42nd Avenue). When complete, the new interchange will improve traffic flow, decrease delays and increase safety. Construction is anticipated to be completed in fall 2023.
