Census Bureau: 78.1 percent of people in Hennepin County were old enough to vote in 2020

Of the 1,255,296 citizens living in Hennepin County in 2020, 979,708 were old enough to vote as of March 24, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 498,958 of those people were female and 480,750 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
