Falling home prices in Dayton in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in Dayton fell by $59,890 while total sales increased by 83.3 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $344,000 - a 14.8 percent decrease from the $403,890 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Dayton in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in Dayton for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,498, approximately 1.3 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
