Census Bureau: More men than women in Independence in 2020

Of the 3,778 people living in Independence in 2020, 48.3 percent (1,823) were women and 51.7 percent (1,955) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Hennepin News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 57. In the 65 and over age range, there were 330 females and 233 males.
