Brooklyn Center Community Schools’ School Board met for a regular meeting on Monday, April 11, 2022, at the District Office. Below are the highlights. 

PRESENTATIONS

  1. Sarah Bratsch, Director of Finance, presented a budget update.
  2. Mike Johnson, Director of Operations, and Amanda Edberg, ASP-IEA, presented the District Radon Testing results.
DISCUSSION ITEMS

Carly Baker, Superintendent, presented a plan for reinstating the staff appreciation BBQ. This event is planned for Friday, May 6, 2022.

  • Approve Dissolution of Co-op between Brooklyn Center Schools and Parnassus Preparatory Academy
  • Approve Extending the Existing Contract with the Insight School of Minnesota Until June 30, 2022, With the New Contract Taking Effect on July 1, 2022.
  • Approve First Read of Policies:
    • 307 Emergency Closure
    • 308 Chain of Command
    • 431 Code of Conduct
    • 432 Overtime
  • Approve Bus Driver Contract
  • Approve Bus Driver Letter of Agreement for Seniority
  • Approve Resolution Non-renewing Tier 1 and Tier 2 Teachers
  • Approve Resolution Non-renewing Probationary Teachers
