Brooklyn Center Community Schools issued the following announcement on March 24.
On Monday, Jan. 10, the BCCS School Board swore Kai Johnson in as the new 2022 student school board representative. "I am looking forward to sharing the student experience with the board and amplifying the voices of the student body well by making positive changes within our district and school community," said Johnson.
The student school board representative provides student views and suggestions for the development of educational policies and programs. The primary goal is to provide input on issues that affect all students and work together with the school board to improve the quality of Brooklyn Center Community Schools. Johnson's term runs from Jan. 10, 2022 - Dec. 12, 2022.
