City Of Champlin issued the following announcement on July 24.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (BTYR) would like to make area military families aware of the following opportunity:
WHAT: Donors have come forward to provide an all-expense paid new roof for up to two military families in calendar year 2020. This includes all supplies and labor costs.
CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Need based, a military family who would not otherwise be able to afford a new roof.
2) Located in the Twin Cities metro area.
3) Service member currently serving or recently separated. Do NOT have to be currently deployed or have veteran status.
4) Rank of 06 or below.
5) Only "modest" homes. Donor has enough materials for two modest homes, not large homes.
6) Qualified families must submit a document with the following to Annette.b.kuyper.nfg@mail.mil no later than close of business on Thursday, August 13, 2020. Two recipients will be chosen by the donors.
Document must include:
• Family Name including name, rank and service branch of the service member.
• Cell phone and email of family point of contact.
• Type of home, home description.
• 1-2 paragraphs on why they deserve a free roof.
NOTE: Submissions without all the above information will be removed from consideration.
