City Of Golden Valley issued the following announcement on July 15.
The City of Golden Valley’s Parks and Recreation Department received t8e National Recreation and Park Association’s Innovation in Health Award for its at-home recreation program, HomeRECed. The award will be presented at the NRPA Virtual Conference in October.
The program was created to provide residents with recreation opportunities for free at home. Initially a new video was published each day on the City website and social media pages but starting June 1, new videos are made available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to make way for other virtual recreation opportunities.
The Innovation in Health Award recognizes a park and recreation agency leading an innovative project that fosters a culture of health in their community.
