City of Champlin issued the following announcement on May 21.
The City will be both treating and removing trees in park systems and along public boulevards in the next few weeks. The projects are part of a partnership grant process with Hennepin County to continue to manage EAB and maintain the City’s public tree canopy.
A variety of replacement trees will be planted to diversify species and supplement canopy loss in these areas. Specific sites will be Champlin Drive from Elm Creek Parkway to Hayden Lake Road. Parks currently scheduled include Andrews, Brittany, and Charest/Woodlawn. If you have questions, please contact Parks and Facilities Manager Charles Lehn, Clehn@ci.champlin.mn.us, 763-923-7163.
