Orono home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Orono fell by $110,050 while total sales decreased by 6.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 86 homes sold, with a median sale price of $613,000 - a 15.2% decrease over the $723,050 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 92 homes sold in Orono in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Orono for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $5,930, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
