CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY: City To Host Open House On Proposed Park Changes

Openhouse

City of Golden Valley issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.

Golden Valley’s Open Space & Recreation Commission will hold an open house Mon, Nov 25, 6:30 pm at Brookview, for residents to learn and share thoughts about the proposed additions of an off-leash pet exercise area and a community garden to the City’s park system.

Based on input from the 2016 community survey, the City began exploring proposals for adding these amenities, with a focus on updating problem areas at Medley Park. The public provided input at an April 2 community open house as well as via email, social media, and an online comment form. The Medley Park proposal overview and resulting Community Input Report are available on the City website.

Information about the proposed improvements, including recordings of the open house presentations, will be available on the City website for those who are unable to attend.

Online Survey

Before presenting a final recommendation, the City is soliciting further public input through an online survey starting Nov 25, after the open house. All residents are encouraged to take the survey before it closes Dec 31 at 11:50 pm.
