City of Champlin issued the following announcement on Sep. 25.
The Three Rivers Park District will be conducting a controlled burn for the purpose of prairie restoration, between Monday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 29th. The times and dates will be dependent on weather. Red Rock Fire is the company hired to conduct the controlled burn. This is a significant event and will result in noticeable smoke. The park areas included are located within Champlin and Dayton. You may notice fire department vehicles in your neighborhood out monitoring this event. Please see the maps for location details.
