Spring Hydrant Flushing!

Spring Hydrant Flushing!
0Comments

During hydrant flushing, residents may experience low water pressure and discoloration or cloudy water.  We recommend refraining from unnecessary water use when flushing is underway, this will eliminate drawing discolored water into your home.  Avoid washing clothes during flushing.  If discolored water is observed, run cold water from a laundry tub or outside faucet until it clears.

  • During flushing, your water is safe to drink. Staff will continue to monitor water quality.
  • When approaching city vehicles, please drive cautiously and watch for staff along roadways. There is also a chance of unexpected standing water on roadways during flushing operations.
