Last night’s storms caused some tree damage mostly in the southeast part of the city. Our Forestry crew is cutting any downed trees that are interfering with traffic and moving those trees to the boulevard. As time permits crews will be removing those trees. City crews will not be collecting trees or debris from private property.
Brooklyn Park residents and homeowners can bring trees and brush to the Maple Grove Yardwaste Site http://www.mgyardwaste.com/ and dispose of material there for free.
If you have experienced water in your basement from the storm, mop or use a wet/dry vac to remove all standing water as soon as possible. Use fans and or dehumidifiers to help dry the basement. To prevent mold issues it is important to begin these clean-up actions as soon as possible.
