City of Maple Grove issued the following announcement on April 6.

The 9th Annual Community Forum on Race is coming up later this month – Thursday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. This is a free online event, and registration is open on Eventbrite. Everyone is invited to participate.

Jerome Treadwell, executive director of MN Teen Activists, will facilitate the event that includes a youth-led discussion on the impacts of race and racism in our community. Breakout rooms will create space for conversation,  so attendees can share their own stories in a small group setting.
